In the house where Francois Auguste Ravier (1814-1895) spent the last 28 years of his life (1867-1895), you can discover a collection of 20 pre-impressionist works along with other remarkable temporary exhibitions about various artistic expressions like picture, sculpture, contemporary ceramics, glass art or literature...

Situated on the top of the old town of Morestel, "the city of painters", the Maison Ravier is a beautiful witness of the 18th century house. Since the terrace which overlooking the plain, a remakable panorama is offer to the sight : the Belledonne and the Chartreuse mountains.

Inside, the groundfloor has preserved it daily life caracter : the big stone chimney in the kitchen or marble chimneys in the living room, the old wrought iron banister which take us upstairs.
